Attractive Color Combinations of website
Most people have visited a website that makes them cringe because the colors are hideous and don't work at all. This is a very big problem if you are trying to create a website that is going to attract visitors over and over again. For some people, the concept of choosing web page colors is daunting, but it does not have to be.
There is a very easy method for choosing the perfect web page colors that you can use when creating your web page, banner advertisements or designing logos. You will need to find an image in which you like the colors that have been used and you will need to have a image editor that has an eye dropper tool in it for selecting a color.
Save a copy of the image and open it in your image editor application. Now that you have the image loaded into your program use the feature to convert the image into browser color-safe palettes so that you can be sure the colors will work properly on your website. If your image editing program does not have a tool to do this for you, you can manually calculate it later, but it will take some more work on your part.
Choose one of the colors in your image that you would like to use in your web page. You will now need to select the eye dropper tool in your image editing program and use it to select this color. Now that the color has been selected you should be able to find a menu option in your program that will tell you the red, green and blue values of this color that you have selected. Make sure that you write these numbers down as you will need them later. Continue this step for any other colors that you would like to use. Be sure that you do not choose too many colors though as it may make your website look chaotic and unorganized.
The red, green and blue values that you wrote down earlier may be in a decimal format which is a number between 0 and 255. If this is the case, you are going to need to convert it into a hexadecimal number that can be used by internet browsers. In order to do this, you can open the calculator program that is provided in Windows. Put the calculator into scientific mode and then make sure that the Dec radio button has been selected. Now all you have to do is enter the number that you wish to convert and then select the Hex radio button. The number displayed for you now will be the Hex equivalent to the Dec number. If you are given a singe digit number, be sure to add a leading zero to it for your code in the web browser.
If you did not have the option to convert your image into a color-safe palette before you started the steps above, you are going to want to do this now. The reason that this needs to be done is so that you can be assured that an internet browser will know the color that you have selected for it to display which will ensure that your webpage or image will show up exactly the way you intended.
To start this conversion, you will need the three red, green and blue values that were given to you before. Now for each of these colors you will have to convert them into their color-safe value that will work properly in a web browser. If you are using decimal numbers you will need to change the numbers 0 to 25 into 0, 26 to 76 into 51, 77 to 127 into 102, 128 to 178 into 53, 179 to 229 into 204 and 230 to 255 into 255.
Once this has been completed, you will still need to convert each number into its equivalent hexadecimal value using the Windows calculator and the method that we have described before.
Now you will be able to easily create a website with any theme that you want to make it more attractive to visitors of your site instead of driving them away with the blinding effect of poor color selection.
